This inclusive and adapted class introduces music, theater, dance /movement and visual arts. Participants learn different art forms by engaging in movement to music, instrument play, creative dramatics, theater games, and other activities which incorporate singing, dancing, imagination and hands-on creativity. Students work to enhance gross motor skills and balance, develop body awareness and self expression, increase social interaction, and expand their creative abilities. Designed to meet the needs of dancers with diverse abilities, this class will have a modified curriculum for sit-down dancers and those with sensory needs. Each ballet camp follows a different theme and will include music, stories & choreography to match the theme. This year’s themes include Aloha Summer, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Taylor Swift Eras, Dancing through the Decades, and Broadway.

We have great assistants and have had good success with helping those with low muscle tone and non-mobile individuals experience the joy of ballet!

Cleveland Clinic Children’s Summer Treatment Program for children with ADHD provides families with individually designed treatment plans that address their child’s behavioral, emotional and learning difficulties. The overall goal of our seven-week daytime treatment program is to help children and their families manage ADHD symptoms throughout the year.

Participation Guidelines:
To ensure a safe and successful camp experience for all participants, campers must be able to independently feed themselves, change clothes, and use the restroom on their own.

Our summer counselors bring a wide variety of skills and backgrounds; however, they are not medically trained to provide direct medical or personal care support. If your child requires more direct or medical assistance and you are able to provide a dedicated support person, your child is welcome to attend camp with that support in place.

Our camp will have a 1:2 or 1:3 (counselor/camper) ratio – which is why we have these guidelines in place.

Lights, camera… action! At the Movies is a high-energy summer camp where campers get to sing, dance and perform songs from today’s most popular kids’ movies. Each day, campers will learn fun choreography, practice group singing and create themed crafts. We will build confidence, teamwork and performance skills in a supportive and upbeat environment. Whether your camper loves belting out movie soundtracks or dancing to catchy tunes, this inclusive camp brings the magic of the movies to life.

I offer one on one, tailored lesson plans for students with varying degrees of dyslexia and reading and literacy challenges. Beyond Healthcare is offering a Youth Summer Program for children ages 6–11 from June 8 through August 21, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at our Toledo, Fairlawn, Beachwood, and Westlake locations. This structured mental health program includes clinical support in the morning and therapeutic recreation and experiential skills-building in the afternoon.

Participants may have mental health concerns or disabilities that do not require individualized support for daily living skills. Brick Clubs are designed to help young people who enjoy LEGOs have fun together and develop skills such as team-work, problem solving, communication and creativity.

The Adapted Horseback Riding Program offers recreation-based mounted riding lessons with an emphasis on proper riding position and reining skills. Riders ages 4 and up are taught horsemanship and riding skills in an environment that’s tailored to their specific needs, goals, and learning styles.

Sensational Extended School Year (ESY) Camp combines extended school year learning with camp activities in an outdoor environment. It creates an experience that allows students to continue working on their IEP goals while still enjoying their summer break as they take part in recreational activities that allow their bodies to be as active as their minds.

Sensational ESY welcomes all students who have extended school year indicated in their IEP. Registration must be completed by each student’s school district.

Campers enjoy swimming, visiting our horse barn, playing gaga ball, doing crafts, and everything else our Cheerful Day campers experience. During learning time, they will benefit from a dedicated cabin classroom set up for maximum engagement and learning success. Sensational ESY Intervention Specialists track each child’s progress toward their IEP goals and ensure students get the individualized attention they need. Sensational ESY also employs occupational therapists and speech language pathologists to round out the team and offer everything your student needs in a classroom setting.

Camp Echoing Hills is a non-profit Christian camp serving adults and children with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We are located in the rolling hills of rural Coshocton County. This camp offers a one-week recreational camp for youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, and/or physical disabilities. Siblings can attend.

Camp Happiness provides social & recreational services during the summer months to children ages 5-18 with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Camp LeafBridge is an activity-based summer camp for students with significant physical and cognitive disabilities. This unique program offers high levels of support while addressing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals through Extended School Year (ESY) services. Camp activities are planned and coordinated by specialists in the areas of special education, physical/occupational/speech therapies, and assistive technology.

Cornerstone of Hope offers summer grief camps for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Guided by Christian values, Camp Lighthouse provides a supportive and understanding environment where children ages 8-17 can learn about grief and connect with peers who have faced similar losses. Campers engage in age-appropriate grief activities led by compassionate professionals and enjoy traditional camp activities, sports, games, arts and crafts, and various other interactive experiences that foster healing and hope.

We provide a week-long residence camp for individuals aged 7-24 with disabilities. We run day group session activities, including swimming, games, woodcraft, art, yoga, dance, cooking, and nighttime activities like an annual talent show and dance.

Not sure what activity to sign up for? Why not try them all? Get a taste of a variety of outdoor recreation skills and activities at the new Garfield Park Program Center! Kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, fishing, hiking and other backcountry skills are all options; however, not all are guaranteed.

Actual activities for the day are based on weather/water conditions, instructor decisions, and group preferences based on a pre-survey. Campers will utilize the adjacent shelter for periods of inclement weather as needed. Thanks to a grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, an all-terrain Action Trackchair is available to the first person requesting use of the chair.

Dream Camp is a weekend of adaptive sports and recreation. During this overnight camp, campers will participate in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair softball, kayaking, track, games, campfire, and more! (Personal care not provided; Campers may bring personal care attendant at extra cost.) Adaptive Sports Ohio will provide adaptive sports equipment and campers are also welcome to bring their own.

Emotions Aquarium offers children the opportunity to explore their emotions through art experiences while strengthening communication skills and improving social skills.

Summer filled with fun, learning and exploration designed to support students socially emotionally and academically. Targeted Social Emotional learning, academic goal support as written in IEP, Related services provided as written in IEP, servicing students with social email dysregulation & behavioral challenges.

Campers who participate will receive a minimum of five hours of intervention weekly from an intervention specialist, one hour with a Speech Therapist one hour weekly with an Occupational Therapist to address IEP goals or family tutoring/therapy objectives. DayCamp+ will provide services in addition to regular day camp programming to support social and experiential learning.

FIT Camp is a one-of-a-kind summer day camp experience that presents children with ample opportunities to develop socially while engaging in a variety of fun activities with peers. FIT camp is designed for children and adolescents ages 3-19 who need extra support in developing their social skills, and children are grouped by age. Our highly trained staff works hard to make certain that campers receive the guidance they need to get the most out of their experience.

FIT Camp features daily social skills curriculum tailored to each age level, fun classes like art and science, physical education, individual therapy for IEP goals at no extra charge, and a caring staff comprised of speech-language pathologists, specially trained aides, and gifted graduate students.

Families and participants are invited to meet up and move through the Cleveland Metroparks, exploring trails and making meaningful connections along the way! Dr. Hallowell and Rob Himburg have created a one-of-a-kind weeklong camp for families with children ages 8 to 18. Parents participate with Dr. Hallowell in highly interactive, discussion-based seminars, while children work and play with Rob in highly experiential, adventure-learning programs.

This program is designed to support participants with ADHD, dyslexia and/or executive functioning concerns.

Our signature youth program combines horses and nature with art and rhythm to explore understanding feelings and making friends. Participants will about emotions, boundaries, communication skills, transitions and more during this 8-week unmounted group.

iCan Bike is a week-long bike clinic that helps participants with disabilities master independent cycling skills on a two-wheel bike.

Summer programming at Insightful Minds emphasizes community engagement, collaborative projects, and teamwork, all organized around a weekly theme. Lawrence School’s Orton-Gillingham based instructional approach looks a lot like play. Campers will learn the basics of make-up design and application, as well as create their own character designs! Ages 6-10 (ages flexible) join us in the garden for adventure, climbing, sliding, yoga, gardening and mindfully creating with nature and new friends!

Our camps are designed to support independence, connection, and exploration. Children should be fully toilet-trained and able to separate from a parent or caregiver for the duration of the camp day. Attendees must be able to stay with the group, participate, follow directions and interact with peers and adults without 1:1 support, as camps will not be staffed to provide individual assistance.

Join us for Musical Theatre camp if your young one(s) just can’t help tapping their toes wherever they go! Each day students will focus on the fundamentals of musical theatre (acting, dancing, and singing) as well as explore a different musical.

Participants will leave camp knowing how to properly warm-up their voices and bodies, their stage directions, the 5 tools of the actor, and how to work in an ensemble! NATI Summer Camp serves students with disabilities between the ages of 3-21. Each camp classroom includes a licensed teacher and assistant with a ratio of 1:4. Activities include: art therapy, adapted physical education, themed enrichment activities, music therapy, outside play and special events. Our traditional Rotary Day Camp allows campers to experience some of the best that Rotary Camp has to offer. Campers are organized into cabin groups according to age and ability. Each day, weather permitting, campers will also have the opportunity to explore the excitement of Rex Lake, through activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, pontoon boat rides and fishing. Campers ages 6-21 are eligible to attend.

Sculpture Camp is the perfect place to dive deep into the world of clay, wood and other materials while exploring their inner world. This camp offers a unique opportunity for students to shape, mold and create meaningful art that reflects who they are. Through the process of sculpting, campers can release emotions, gain insights and express feelings that are hard to put into words. Campers will explore personal growth through the hands-on art of sculpture, work through challenges and connect with deeper layers of identity and gain confidence and clarity by creating meaningful pieces of art.

Throughout the week, campers will step into the world of Broadway as they learn fun, age-appropriate songs and choreography inspired by popular musical theatre shows. In addition to performing, campers will tap into their creativity by designing and building sets and props that bring their musical numbers to life. From warm-ups and rehearsals to hands-on crafting and collaboration, campers will explore all sides of putting on a show while building confidence, teamwork and stage presence. At the end of the week, campers will combine their talents in an exciting performance showcase. SMILE Summer Camp™ is a therapeutic day camp led by a speech-language therapist. The camp alternates weekly with the 10-16 age group and the 6-10 age group. Campers engage in structured learning activities in addition to daily field trips to generalize skills while focusing on social skills, communication, and emotional regulation. This therapeutic program was developed specifically for children with disabilities to provide them with a fun and interactive way to develop social skills, participate in the activities that typical kids take for granted, and work on their IEP goals. We want to help your child have a better summer!

If a child needs an aide to participate in group activities and maintain their safety, then they can participate in the camp with an aide for an additional $25 per hour

Social Skills 360 Camp is a very structured and goal-oriented camp, staffed with experienced staff members. It is not “just another camp” or “babysitting!” It is a social skills/electronic reduction experience.

Campers will participate in activities such as fishing, swimming, hiking, gaga, archery, paint war, sports court, goldrush, nine square, canoeing, stand-up paddle boards, slip-n-slide, kickball, water games, slime dunk tank, rock climbing, high ropes and much more. Plus social skills group every night!

Note: Campers who attend the program struggle with electronic addiction and social skills issues. Campers have a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to autism, ADHD and anxiety.

Students with special learning needs (K-12) can come to GradePower Learning’s Summer Programs to help those students continue practicing or advancing their reading, writing, fine motor and test taking skills. Our multi-week summer program provides multiple benefits to campers. Each week, campers build confidence and lessen their anxiety as they become familiar with the day camp routine and staff members. Learning the physical boundaries of the campsite offers campers a sense of security. Establishing a daily routine of activities on which they can rely allows campers to feel a sense of control. Interacting with the same group of campers provides a route to socialization and age-appropriate friendships.

Staff selected to work in this program receive all required training of Home and Community Waiver Providers for the State of Ohio. The ratio for the program is one staff member for every five campers.

This interactive summer camp helps children improve eye coordination, visual tracking, depth perception and fine motor skills through engaging games and hands-on activities. Each week introduces new challenges that encourage movement, creativity, and skill development in a supportive setting.

New Vision Health and Wellness Summer Day treatment Program provides structured therapeutic activities designed to help children build coping skills, improve emotional regulation and strengthen social connections – all while enjoying a safe and engaging environment.

The Gathering Place Summer Camp pairs children with animals at partnered sites and offers a unique therapeutic and fun-filled week. Campers will build relationships with other children impacted by cancer. Our camp is run by the staff of the Children and Family Team at The Gathering Place in order to create a unique experience and space of community, learning, and camp spirit.

Participation Note: Participants must have or have a family member who has been diagnosed with cancer.

Time2Thrive is designed by an Intervention Specialist and Occupational Therapist to provide engaging activities that help children practice important skills, build confidence, and continue learning throughout the summer.

Our program welcomes families with children with Down syndrome as well as other disabilities. We are open to all.

Empower Sports and the Cleveland Guardians are teaming up to offer inclusive softball at multiple parks across the greater Cleveland area this season! The program is open to players of all abilities, ages 6 and older. Each week will consist of softball skills drills, and scrimmaging. Players will be grouped into age and skill-appropriate teams to ensure players are in a safe environment with compatible peers. Our inclusive softball programs use a high-density foam core softball that is safe to our athletes while still having that realistic feel. Our coaches and volunteers will lead our players through skills and drills practices while we work our way up to playing games.

Woodland Tinkering is all about design & collaboration in the wild. Children will work together to build their own play experiences using unique combinations of materials and the environment as their inspiration. There will be plenty of time for games, tinkering, and hours of creative, child-led play!

This camp will allow your child to learn basic business principles in a fun and engaging way. Our curriculum has language arts, math, and career exploration woven through each day’s lesson. Your camper will create ice cream flavors, decorate their ice cream stand, and market their ice cream creations to real customers!

Beat the summer heat while learning two new ways to have fun on the water in Garfield Park Pond, a small 2-acre pond! Whether you’re balancing on a stand up paddleboard or skimming the water by kayak, you are sure to stay cool.

Be prepared to get wet playing on-water paddling games! This camp is great for new paddlers who will enjoy the sanctuary of a small pond; no experience is necessary.

Campers will utilize the adjacent shelter and participate in paddling-related activities for periods of inclement weather as needed. Campers will have access to a building for lunch with bathrooms in close proximity.

This program can be easily modified to accommodate guests with a variety of disabilities for all activities. Paddling will take place on an inland pond with a zero-entry beach and accessible launch.

*This camp will cancel in the event of extreme weather or poor water quality. Adaptive kayaks and paddleboards are available including supportive seating, outriggers for balance and paddle adaptations available for those who meet essential eligibility criteria.
