At Beyond Healthcare, we offer a variety of summer programs for youth, ages 7-11. Our summer mental health programs are designed to be fun and help your child to build meaningful connections, learn how to better manage their emotions, and build confidence in their interpersonal skills.

Since 1924 children with disabilities have enjoyed a weeklong get away on the Portage Lakes. Today, the program is open to all children with disabilities and their siblings. At our children’s Overnight Camps there are two counselors to every six campers. Other staff on site includes the directors, program coordinators, and nursing staff. The Akron Rotary Camp strives to meet the individual needs of each of the campers. Staff will work with families, teachers, and other support services to help provide successful experiences.

Our SumFun Day Camp for children with developmental disabilities serves ages 5-21 who qualify for services through their local county board of developmental disabilities. Our multi-week summer program provides multiple benefits to campers.

Each week, campers build confidence participating in activities including hiking, crafts, swimming, archery, horseback riding, and more! Campers also develop socialization skills as they develop friendships with their peers.
