During our kindergarten readiness and retention camp, your child will sing about letters, dance like a shape, play colorful instruments, and even make some brand new friends! Each camp will offer your child opportunities that will increase their confidence, build social skills, and most importantly, enhance those academic skills to get them ready to succeed in this upcoming school year!

This inclusive and adapted class introduces music, theater, dance /movement and visual arts. Participants learn different art forms by engaging in movement to music, instrument play, creative dramatics, theater games, and other activities which incorporate singing, dancing, imagination and hands-on creativity. Students work to enhance gross motor skills and balance, develop body awareness and self expression, increase social interaction, and expand their creative abilities. Designed to meet the needs of dancers with diverse abilities, this class will have a modified curriculum for sit-down dancers and those with sensory needs. Each ballet camp follows a different theme and will include music, stories & choreography to match the theme. This year’s themes include Aloha Summer, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Taylor Swift Eras, Dancing through the Decades, and Broadway.

We have great assistants and have had good success with helping those with low muscle tone and non-mobile individuals experience the joy of ballet!

We offer adaptive tennis for players (6+ years) with cognitive, emotional or physical disabilities. Players will have fun learning tennis FUNdamentals, as well as practicing agility, balance and coordination skills. An optional fitness program is available.

This summer, the AWC Foundation will be offering a FREE music camp for individuals with Down syndrome ages 8-12 years old.

Ashly’s Melody of Hope Music Camp provides a weeklong camp teaching kids how to play a ukelele or melody harp. On the last day of the camp the students will demonstrate all they learned with a performance for their families.

Please note that this is a partnership with the AWC Foundation and is being held at the DSANEO office. AWC staff are providing the instruction for the camp. The camp is being offered for free for 15 children with Down syndrome ages 8-12 . The individual needs of each student will be addressed in the registration form.

Empower Sports and the Cleveland Guardians are teaming up to offer inclusive softball at multiple parks across the greater Cleveland area this season! The program is open to players of all abilities, ages 6 and older. Each week will consist of softball skills, drills and scrimmaging. Players will be grouped into age and skill-appropriate teams to ensure players are in a safe environment with compatible peers. Our inclusive softball programs use a high-density foam core softball that is safe to our athletes while still having that realistic feel. Our coaches and volunteers will lead our players through skills and drills practices while we work our way up to playing games.

Beyond Camp is an award-winning summer camp for children entering grades K-9 (ages 5 to 14) with mild-to-moderate special learning and social needs.

Beyond Camp serves students entering into grades K-9 with mild-to-moderate social and learning differences including but not limited to: ADHD, anxiety, Autism, dyslexia, executive functioning needs and other developmental disabilities. Staff includes highly experienced intervention specialists, a speech/language pathologist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

The Adapted Horseback Riding Program offers recreation-based mounted riding lessons with an emphasis on proper riding position and reining skills. Riders ages 4 and up are taught horsemanship and riding skills in an environment that’s tailored to their specific needs, goals, and learning styles.

We are proud to partner with the Cleveland Browns to offer the game of football, adapted to athletes ages 6 and older of all abilities.

In this group participants will experience dance, music, and art-making to increase both creativity and imagination as a catalyst in connecting with self and others. Participants will explore developmental movement patterns, songwriting, and collage creations to enhance peer relationships, collaboration, and a sense of empowerment. This program is designed with the flexibility to adjust to individual needs, so group members can access their fullest expression.

Students are welcome to bring a 1:1 aide or assistant if needed/desired. Individuals with experiences consistent with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, sensory processing, and/or other neurodivergent differences would benefit from this group. This group will take place on the main level of the building and will be wheelchair accessible.

At The Treehouse, we offer developmental play groups for kids that are facilitated by pediatric occupational and physical therapists who are trained to provide a positive play experience for all kids, regardless of ability level. Common group activities include: movement games, fine motor craft activities, social skills activities, and sensory exploration.

Our Drawing camp offers a supportive, inclusive environment where campers can explore creativity at their own pace. We use drawing as a gentle, engaging way to encourage self-expression, emotional regulation and confidence-building. Campers are never judged on skill or outcome because process matters most. Through guided prompts, free drawing time, and optional group sharing, campers are invited to connect with their imagination, practice coping strategies and enjoy the calming, empowering experience of making art. This camp is ideal for students who benefit from a compassionate, strengths-based approach and a safe space to create, relax and be themselves.

This is a beginner-level kayak program for families looking to learn more about kayaking. This program is offered several times throughout the summer. Focus on entry-level kayaking skills, safety, and lake exploration. At least one parent must attend per family. July 26th, Punderson State Park; August 22nd, Coe Lake, Berea.

A program which utilizes the Wonderfully Me curriculum, focusing on self-concept, identifying strengths, and interacting with others while using Cognitive Behavioral Skills.

Participants in this group will learn new grounding* skills through the expressive arts including dance, music, and art-making. Group members will tap into their five senses through the arts to gain this self-awareness, develop coping skills, and learn ways to navigate challenges faced as a growing youth member. Facilitated by a licensed professional counselor, participants will experience connection to self and others while exploring shared feelings, events, and circumstances. No previous arts experience necessary. Children faced with challenges including anxiety, inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, emotional dysregulation and/or difficulty connecting with others would benefit from this group.

Our signature youth program combines horses and nature with art and rhythm to explore understanding feelings and making friends. Participants will about emotions, boundaries, communication skills, transitions and more during this 8-week unmounted group.

Our program welcomes children with ADHD, anxiety and depression, as well as various other mental health diagnoses.

iCan Bike is a week-long bike clinic that helps participants with disabilities master independent cycling skills on a two-wheel bike.

This program will be held at Independence High School Football Stadium and is open to athletes ages 6+ of ALL ability levels. Our coaches and volunteers will lead our players through skills and drills practices while we work our way up to playing games. We are able to group our players onto teams that best match their age and ability to make sure that everybody is having a great time out on the field.

Our inclusive indoor camp for kids ages 3-8 features fun weekly themes with matching activities. Each day includes Open Play in our sensory gym, hands-on sensory activities, group games, arts & crafts, story time, and snack time (snack brought from home).

This is a beginner-level kayak program that occurs on Thursday evenings throughout the summer. Focus on both entry-level kayaking skills and entry-level to moderate kayaking skills. Build upon problem solving and social skills with opportunities to learn more advanced paddle strokes.

OUAC is based on a different book each week and activities incorporate story reading, crafts, gross motor activities and yoga poses. It is designed for 3-5 year-olds who can manage in a group setting.

Camp A.B.C.™, Camp Always Be Communicating, is a social developmental play skills group for children ages 3 to 6. The camp is a fusion of social development ideologies and therapeutic approaches with play-based activities, which help children develop better social relationships.

Our kindergarten readiness program provides an opportunity for rising kindergarteners to practice the skills needed to successfully navigate this important transition. Children will enjoy phonological awareness activities, language-enriched book time, crafts, letter and number recognition activities, working on listening and following directions in a classroom context, and social skills practice. The small group design and high staff/child ratio allows for ample support as children participate in activities.

Sculpture Camp is the perfect place to dive deep into the world of clay, wood and other materials while exploring their inner world. This camp offers a unique opportunity for students to shape, mold and create meaningful art that reflects who they are. Through the process of sculpting, campers can release emotions, gain insights and express feelings that are hard to put into words. Campers will explore personal growth through the hands-on art of sculpture, work through challenges and connect with deeper layers of identity and gain confidence and clarity by creating meaningful pieces of art.

Our Speaking Through Song Camp is a one-of-a-kind experience where music and speech therapy come together to help campers thrive! With the expertise of both a music therapist (from Beyond Words) and a speech therapist (from Sprout Therapy), this summer program is designed for emerging communicators who are ready to explore and expand their communication skills in a fun, supportive, and non-threatening environment!

Villainous Disney Dance Camp is bringing the dark magic of Disney’s most iconic villains to life through music, movement and a whole lot of mayhem! Turn up the volume and let’s shake up the stage as we dance with wickedness, master the moves of Disney’s most notorious villains, unleash our inner villains and leave everyone trembling with fierce and fabulous moves! From the rhythm of Maleficent’s fire to the swagger of Captain Hook, we’re all about embracing the wild and fabulous this summer. Whether you’ve got a bit of wickedness or full-on villainous flair, this camp is made for YOU!

This camp is for children ages 5 to 7 who will enter kindergarten in the fall. Sessions will emphasize core strength, body awareness, right/left awareness and learn to write upper case letters and introduction to lower case letters and simple words with effective pencil grasp, praxis, sizing, and spacing through a variety of fun games and sensory experiences.

This camp will allow your child to learn basic business principles in a fun and engaging way. Our curriculum has language arts, math, and career exploration woven through each day’s lesson. Your camper will create ice cream flavors, decorate their ice cream stand, and market their ice cream creations to real customers!

For youth ages 3-8 years old with a physical disability. Programs include a variety of recreational activities including swimming, art, nature exploration, games and more.
