Cleveland Clinic Children’s Summer Treatment Program for children with ADHD provides families with individually designed treatment plans that address their child’s behavioral, emotional and learning difficulties. The overall goal of our seven-week daytime treatment program is to help children and their families manage ADHD symptoms throughout the year.

Beyond Camp is an award-winning summer camp for children entering grades K-9 (ages 5 to 14) with mild-to-moderate special learning and social needs.

Beyond Camp serves students entering into grades K-9 with mild-to-moderate social and learning differences including but not limited to: ADHD, anxiety, Autism, dyslexia, executive functioning needs and other developmental disabilities. Staff includes highly experienced intervention specialists, a speech/language pathologist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Beyond Healthcare is offering a Youth Summer Program for children ages 6–11 from June 8 through August 21, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at our Toledo, Fairlawn, Beachwood, and Westlake locations. This structured mental health program includes clinical support in the morning and therapeutic recreation and experiential skills-building in the afternoon.

Participants build friendships, strengthen communication skills, and learn how to better manage emotions in a supportive and engaging environment. Most insurance plans are accepted. Call 866-645-5556 for more information.

Participants may have mental health concerns or disabilities that do not require individualized support for daily living skills. To participate, children must be able to engage in a three-hour group therapy session prior to joining the recreation component and independently perform daily living skills, including eating and toileting.

Camp Imagine is a combination extended school year (ESY) service and camp experience for developmentally disabled children in Pre-K through 12th grade. Students are PRIMARILY enrolled through their school district.

Cheerful Day Camp offers all the activities of a traditional camp, modified for children with disabilities. We have ten action-packed weeks of activities planned on our beautiful 52-acre campus, including hiking, swimming, fishing, arts and crafts, nature study activities, games, campfire activities, music, sports, visits to our horse barn, canoeing and memories that will last a lifetime!

Cornerstone of Hope offers summer grief camps for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Guided by Christian values, Camp Cornerstone provide a supportive and understanding environment where children ages 6-12 can learn about grief and connect with peers who have faced similar losses. Campers engage in age-appropriate grief activities led by compassionate professionals and enjoy field trips, sports, games, arts and crafts, and various other interactive experiences that foster healing and hope.

Camp I.D.E.A.S. provides an affordable opportunity for children with disabilities to participate in traditional summer activities in a safe environment with trained, caring, mentors.

Camp LeafBridge is an activity-based summer camp for students with significant physical and cognitive disabilities. This unique program offers high levels of support while addressing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals through Extended School Year (ESY) services. Camp activities are planned and coordinated by specialists in the areas of special education, physical/occupational/speech therapies, and assistive technology.

Camp Sue Osborn is dedicated to providing excellent, everyday camp experiences for Ohio’s individuals with disabilities.

At the Child Enrichment Services of Lorain, we offer a very family focused and engaging environment right in the heart of the community. Located on Clifton Avenue, this center is distinguished by a Step Up to Quality Gold level rating.

Not sure what activity to sign up for? Why not try them all? Get a taste of a variety of outdoor recreation skills and activities at the new Garfield Park Program Center! Kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, fishing, hiking and other backcountry skills are all options; however, not all are guaranteed.

Actual activities for the day are based on weather/water conditions, instructor decisions, and group preferences based on a pre-survey. Campers will utilize the adjacent shelter for periods of inclement weather as needed. Thanks to a grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, an all-terrain Action Trackchair is available to the first person requesting use of the chair.

If your home is full of silly souls and non-stop giggles our Comedy Camp will be a natural environment for your camper!

Students will study different forms of comedy such as pantomime, slapstick, improvisation, sketch comedy, and more.

Working individually, in partners, and in small groups campers will get a range of experiences as they write, act out, and view hilarious skits and sketches all week long. Join us on the final day of camp as the students perform their favorites from Comedy Camp!

Talespinner Children’s Theatre has the stated goal of being the most accessible theatre in Cleveland and as such at least 80% of our programming contains at least one student with a a diagnosed disability.

The camp targets building functional work skills through volunteer experiences coupled with community integrated experiences designed to build adult daily living skills. DREAMs Inc is designed by a seasoned intervention specialist, utilizes best practice teaching strategies and collects important data about task completion. FIT Camp is a one-of-a-kind summer day camp experience that presents children with ample opportunities to develop socially while engaging in a variety of fun activities with peers. FIT camp is designed for children and adolescents ages 3-19 who need extra support in developing their social skills, and children are grouped by age. Our highly trained staff works hard to make certain that campers receive the guidance they need to get the most out of their experience.

During this program, your child will bring a stuffed animal from home to share in their outdoor play adventures. Children will have the opportunity to create handcrafted items for their special stuffed friend and bring them along for imaginative, sensational journeys. This program inspires hours of creative play!

This summer program is 2.5 or 6-hours per day, and is similar to our school programs. It is a center based summer/esy program that focuses on social skills, communication, academics, fine/gross motor, sensory, and independence. Each child will be met where they are and the children will work on their IEP goals or on their individual treatment plan.

The children will experience small group lessons, art class, sensory group, gross motor/motion activities, social skills, communication skills, behavior interventions, and academic instruction based on their strengths and weaknesses.

We offer a comprehensive range of services, including full-day therapeutic programming designed to help children improve their behaviors and functioning across different environments.

NATI Summer Camp serves students with disabilities between the ages of 3-21. Each camp classroom includes a licensed teacher and assistant with a ratio of 1:4. Activities include: art therapy, adapted physical education, themed enrichment activities, music therapy, outside play and special events. Additional services available: physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

Transportation is not provided; Campers are responsible for bagged lunch/drink; Full-time nurse on staff.

Ohio SIBS is excited to offer Empowering Sibling Voices Day Camps, designed specifically for siblings of individuals with disabilities. These one-day camps provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where siblings can enjoy outdoor recreation while celebrating their unique role, sharing experiences, and building meaningful connections with other siblings who truly understand.

Each camp balances classic camp fun with opportunities for connection, self-expression, and belonging. Through engaging activities and guided discussions, campers build leadership and advocacy skills—empowering them to use their voices, support their siblings, and make a difference in their families and communities.

Participants must be a sibling of an individual with disabilities. This program is supportive of campers with a range of neurodiversities.

PLC will be providing specially designed programming for students with disabilities beyond the traditional school year. Services will be guided by the IEP.

An integrated camp experience for individuals with disabilities and typical peers that creates an environment that promotes educational reinforcement, physical activity, social skills, cooperative group learning and will facilitate access, equity and inclusion.

SMILE Summer Camp™ is a therapeutic day camp led by a speech-language therapist. The camp alternates weekly with the 10-16 age group and the 6-10 age group. Campers engage in structured learning activities in addition to daily field trips to generalize skills while focusing on social skills, communication, and emotional regulation. This therapeutic program was developed specifically for children with disabilities to provide them with a fun and interactive way to develop social skills, participate in the activities that typical kids take for granted, and work on their IEP goals. We want to help your child have a better summer!

Social Skills Summer Camp is a fun day camp packed with hands-on activities, music therapy, art, games, and twice-weekly trips! Each camper is teamed with their own dedicated teen FriendMaker. Social and life skills are incorporated into the program.

This program is open to participants of all abilities. We recruit teen FriendMakers to match up with children that need extra support and build friendship through exciting enrichment opportunities.

During our summer program, students will have access to a structured and predictable schedule, they will have access to curriculum, focus on maintaining skills and work on progress of their IEP goals. Students will work to be independent in navigation of their daily routines and focus on gaining self help skills for use across environments.

Summer Camp at Fieldstone Farm is an exceptional experience where campers discover their unique talents in week-long horseback riding day camps. Camp staff, instructors and counselors are specially trained to provide a supportive, fun and enriching camp for children and teens with disabilities, ages 6 years and up.

The Gathering Place Summer Camp pairs children with animals at partnered sites and offers a unique therapeutic and fun-filled week. Campers will build relationships with other children impacted by cancer. Our camp is run by the staff of the Children and Family Team at The Gathering Place in order to create a unique experience and space of community, learning, and camp spirit.

Participation Note: Participants must have or have a family member who has been diagnosed with cancer.

We believe that every child deserves to have the summer of a lifetime! Orange Community Education & Recreation is pleased to offer three 2-week specialized camp sessions for children with disabilities. The camp day will include daily opportunities for socialization through movement, group activities, special visitors, skill-building experiences, swimming, field trips and much, much more. The camps feature licensed, highly-qualified specialists and smaller group sizes.

Woodland Tinkering is all about design & collaboration in the wild. Children will work together to build their own play experiences using unique combinations of materials and the environment as their inspiration. There will be plenty of time for games, tinkering, and hours of creative, child-led play!

Fly fishing is a great way to get outside and try something new, or enhance your knowledge while learning from seasoned, experienced instructors.

Cleveland Metroparks is partnering with the Cleveland Anglers to bring you this all-day fishing program. Youth will learn how to cast a fly rod and tie an artificial fly they can keep, while also learning about pond and river life. The afternoon will be spent putting these skills together as you try your hand at fly fishing in the pond. Who knows what kind of fish story you’ll leave with!

No fishing license required. Fly rods and reels will be provided. Actual activities for the day are based on weather conditions. This program can be easily modified to accommodate guests with a variety of disabilities for all activities. Terrain includes paved and grass surfaces, with limited distances.
