Designed to meet the needs of dancers with diverse abilities, this class will have a modified curriculum for sit-down dancers and those with sensory needs. Each ballet camp follows a different theme and will include music, stories & choreography to match the theme. This year’s themes include Aloha Summer, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Taylor Swift Eras, Dancing through the Decades, and Broadway.

We have great assistants and have had good success with helping those with low muscle tone and non-mobile individuals experience the joy of ballet!

Camp I.D.E.A.S. provides an affordable opportunity for children with disabilities to participate in traditional summer activities in a safe environment with trained, caring, mentors.

Caregiver & Me Playgroups are a fun, supportive space for young children and their caregivers to learn, play, and grow together. Designed for children ages 2–6, these sessions are led by a pediatric occupational therapist and focus on building social skills, confidence, and early developmental foundations through play. Each playgroup includes a mix of sensory-rich activities, fine and gross motor play, simple crafts, and interactive circle time. Caregivers participate alongside their child, gaining ideas and strategies to support development at home while connecting with other families.

Emotions Aquarium offers children the opportunity to explore their emotions through art experiences while strengthening communication skills and improving social skills.

While ages are flexible, children in this program must be able to participate in a group setting for 2.5 hours. Please contact OhioGuidestone for details.

Inclusive Drop-Off Preschool Playgroups are thoughtfully designed for children ages 2–6 to learn, play, and grow in a supportive, small-group setting, independently from their caregiver. Led by pediatric occupational therapists, these sessions welcome children of all abilities and provide individualized support within a fun, engaging environment. Each playgroup includes a balance of sensory play, fine and gross motor activities, early learning concepts, social skill development, and structured routines like circle time and centers. With a low student-to-teacher ratio, children receive the guidance they need to build confidence, independence, and meaningful peer connections. Our inclusive approach ensures every child feels successful, supported, and celebrated, while caregivers enjoy peace of mind knowing their child is in caring, experienced hands.

The Little SPOTS of Emotion groups offer children 6-8 years old the opportunity to explore emotions in creative ways while exploring science and literacy concepts. Children will increase their understanding of their emotions and the feelings of others while practicing positive social skills with peers.

Note: Medicaid benefits are required for participants in this group.

PLC will be providing specially designed programming for students with disabilities beyond the traditional school year. Services will be guided by the IEP.

This group focuses on managing anxiety and helps develop effective strategies for managing anxiety. Participants will learn how to regulate their emotions and reduce stress using techniques that engage the five senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Two groups are available- one for teens and one for adults.

Children learn about their emotions and gain strategies to help manage their BIG feelings through play-based learning.

For youth ages 3-7 years old with a physical disability. Programs include a variety of recreational activities including swimming, art, nature exploration, games and more.
