Description
Beat the summer heat while learning two new ways to have fun on the water in Garfield Park Pond, a small 2-acre pond! Whether you’re balancing on a stand up paddleboard or skimming the water by kayak, you are sure to stay cool.

Be prepared to get wet playing on-water paddling games! This camp is great for new paddlers who will enjoy the sanctuary of a small pond; no experience is necessary.

Campers will utilize the adjacent shelter and participate in paddling-related activities for periods of inclement weather as needed. Campers will have access to a building for lunch with bathrooms in close proximity.

This program can be easily modified to accommodate guests with a variety of disabilities for all activities. Paddling will take place on an inland pond with a zero-entry beach and accessible launch.

*This camp will cancel in the event of extreme weather or poor water quality. Adaptive kayaks and paddleboards are available including supportive seating, outriggers for balance and paddle adaptations available for those who meet essential eligibility criteria. Please contact us if you have questions or to discuss disability related needs.
