Beyond Camp is an award-winning summer camp for children entering grades K-9 (ages 5 to 14) with mild-to-moderate special learning and social needs.

Beyond Camp serves K-9 students with mild-to-moderate social and learning differences including but not limited to: ADHD, anxiety, Autism, dyslexia, executive functioning needs and other developmental disabilities. Staff includes highly experienced intervention specialists, a speech/language pathologist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Work on emotional regulation, sensory integration, communication, and exploration in this hands-on group led by our favorite SLPs and OTs. Get the best of both worlds in one amazing group!

Cheerful Day Camp offers a traditional inclusive day camp experience to school-aged youth (5-21) with varying needs and abilities. Cheerful Day tailors its program activities so that all campers (with and without disabilities) will have a great time at camp. The program includes games, crafts, swimming and more on a daily basis, Monday-Friday, for 10 weeks during the summer from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

By providing the necessary supports to make activities work for each camper, Cheerful Day Camp is able to ensure children and young people have the opportunity to enjoy summer fun all season.

Cornerstone of Hope offers summer grief camps for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Guided by Christian values, Camp Cornerstone provide a supportive and understanding environment where children ages 6-12 can learn about grief and connect with peers who have faced similar losses. Campers engage in age-appropriate grief activities led by compassionate professionals and enjoy field trips, sports, games, arts and crafts, and various other interactive experiences that foster healing and hope.

Camp LeafBridge is an activity-based summer camp for students with significant physical and cognitive disabilities. This unique program offers high levels of support while addressing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals through Extended School Year (ESY) services. Camp activities are planned and coordinated by specialists in the areas of special education, physical/occupational/speech therapies, and assistive technology.

Not sure what activity to sign up for? Why not try them all? Get a taste of a variety of outdoor recreation skills and activities at the new Garfield Park Program Center! Kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, fishing, hiking and other backcountry skills are all options; however, not all are guaranteed.

Actual activities for the day are based on weather/water conditions, instructor decisions, and group preferences based on a pre-survey. Campers will utilize the adjacent shelter for periods of inclement weather as needed. Thanks to a grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, an all-terrain Action Trackchair is available to the first person requesting use of the chair.

This program can be easily modified to accommodate guests with a variety of disabilities for all activities. Campers are outside all day. Accessible building, bathrooms and all purpose paved trails available. Potential for hiking on natural surface trails and areas depending on interest and abilities. Paddling on inland pond with accessible launches and equipment available upon request.

Join Speech Therapy for 90 minutes of peer socialization using AAC and AT, then jump in the pool with their parent/caregiver for more fun with Physical Therapy. Each session includes a field trip to the Children’s Museum or Botanical Gardens.

A dynamic teen group where participants practice communication, strengthen social thinking, explore teamwork strategies and navigate everyday social situations.

This is a 1-hour program designed for participants with moderate biking skills to practice safe riding and build confidence biking in a group setting. Participants must be able to ride independently; one caregiver is required to attend with each participant. Participants must bring their own bike. E-bikes are not permitted. Program is designed for individuals ages 10+.

Group specifically designed to explore friendships, build confidence, social communications and create meaningful peer connections for teen girls.

iCan Bike is a week-long bike clinic that helps participants with disabilities master independent cycling skills on a two-wheel bike.

Empower Sports and the Cleveland Guardians are teaming up to offer inclusive softball at multiple parks across the greater Cleveland area this season! The program is open to players of all abilities, ages 6 and older. Each week will consist of softball skills, drills and scrimmaging. Players will be grouped into age and skill-appropriate teams to ensure players are in a safe environment with compatible peers. Our inclusive softball programs use a high-density foam core softball that is safe to our athletes while still having that realistic feel. Our coaches and volunteers will lead our players through skills and drills practices while we work our way up to playing games.

Lawrence School’s Orton-Gillingham based instructional approach looks a lot like play. Music in Color Camp is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines music therapy with the joy of color, helping campers learn and engage through creative, hands-on activities! Dive into sensory integration activities with movement manipulatives and sensory items that promote sensory regulation while having fun in a musical ensemble. For more advanced musicians, we learn to play multiple instruments, including the piano, guitar, Boomwhackers, handbells, and tone chimes, by matching colors on the instrument and in music notation. Develop a love for music in a safe, structured environment that promotes growth, confidence and creativity!

Once Upon a Camp is designed for preschoolers, with or without a diagnosis, who are able to communicate with peers and participate in group activities independently (without close 1:1 supervision at all times).

Campers should be able to sit for a story for 5-8 minutes without assistance, scribble, color or draw with crayons, manage child-safe scissors, use glue with some assistance, and generally follow directions well.

Children will enjoy movement, music, and language activities, arts and crafts projects, and a snack.

This summer, Performing Arts & Social Skills Camp is offering campers a unique opportunity to come together through the magic of music and the arts! Our Pop Star Camp is the ultimate creative experience where kids of all abilities can sing, dance and shine to music from a variety of chart-topping pop stars! From learning catchy choreography to belting out favorite choruses, this camp is all about self-expression and confidence. An integrated camp experience for individuals with disabilities and typical peers that creates an environment that promotes educational reinforcement, physical activity, social skills, cooperative group learning and will facilitate access, equity and inclusion.

Sculpture Camp is the perfect place to dive deep into the world of clay, wood and other materials while exploring their inner world. This camp offers a unique opportunity for students to shape, mold and create meaningful art that reflects who they are. Through the process of sculpting, campers can release emotions, gain insights and express feelings that are hard to put into words. Campers will explore personal growth through the hands-on art of sculpture, work through challenges and connect with deeper layers of identity and gain confidence and clarity by creating meaningful pieces of art.

Throughout the week, campers will step into the world of Broadway as they learn fun, age-appropriate songs and choreography inspired by popular musical theatre shows. In addition to performing, campers will tap into their creativity by designing and building sets and props that bring their musical numbers to life. From warm-ups and rehearsals to hands-on crafting and collaboration, campers will explore all sides of putting on a show while building confidence, teamwork and stage presence. At the end of the week, campers will combine their talents in an exciting performance showcase. Whether your child dreams of being in the spotlight or loves working behind the scenes, Setting the Stage is the perfect, inclusive place to shine.

Our parent/child camp features the experience of two professionals – music therapy and speech therapy. This pre-camp meets for only 45-min/day for one week providing opportunities to increase communication and socialization through musical interventions. This camp is appropriate for neurodiverse campers and their siblings.

Steps to Independence is the intensive therapy program at LeafBridge. This program is an evidence-based training model of increased frequency and duration of physical, occupational, and speech therapy to work on achieving meaningful, functional goals. It is a collaborative model of care that involves the therapists and the family working together on goal development, education, and carryover.

New Vision Health and Wellness Summer Day treatment Program provides structured therapeutic activities designed to help children build coping skills, improve emotional regulation and strengthen social connections – all while enjoying a safe and engaging environment.

Time2Thrive is designed by an Intervention Specialist and Occupational Therapist to provide engaging activities that help children practice important skills, build confidence, and continue learning throughout the summer.

Our program welcomes families with children with Down syndrome as well as other disabilities. We are open to all.

Fly fishing is a great way to get outside and try something new, or enhance your knowledge while learning from seasoned, experienced instructors.

Cleveland Metroparks is partnering with the Cleveland Anglers to bring you this all-day fishing program. Youth will learn how to cast a fly rod and tie an artificial fly they can keep, while also learning about pond and river life. The afternoon will be spent putting these skills together as you try your hand at fly fishing in the pond. Who knows what kind of fish story you’ll leave with!

No fishing license required. Fly rods and reels will be provided. Actual activities for the day are based on weather conditions. This program can be easily modified to accommodate guests with a variety of disabilities for all activities. Terrain includes paved and grass surfaces, with limited distances.
