At Beyond Healthcare, we offer a variety of summer programs for youth, ages 7-11. Our summer mental health programs are designed to be fun and help your child to build meaningful connections, learn how to better manage their emotions, and build confidence in their interpersonal skills.

Camp Wonder is an academic & therapeutic day camp lead by certified professionals applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The program was designed and is overseen by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and a BCBA Trainee. Your child will participate in daily learning activities designed to improve social skills, communication, behavior, independence, and academics. We also welcome siblings and friends to attend our community inclusion program!

This summer program is 2.5 or 6-hours per day, and is similar to our school programs. It is a center based summer/esy program that focuses on social skills, communication, academics, fine/gross motor, sensory, and independence. Each child will be met where they are and the children will work on their IEP goals or on their individual treatment plan.

The children will experience small group lessons, art class, sensory group, gross motor/motion activities, social skills, communication skills, behavior interventions, and academic instruction based on their strengths and weaknesses.

A developmentally appropriate group experience for toddlers focusing on expanding fine and gross motor development, practicing transitioning from one activity to another, engaging in play with peers and practice social skills, enjoying an interactive story time, developing receptive and expressive communication and building cognitive learning.

SMILE Summer Camp™ is a therapeutic day camp led by a speech-language therapist. The camp alternates weekly with the 10-16 age group and the 6-10 age group. Campers engage in structured learning activities in addition to daily field trips to generalize skills while focusing on social skills, communication, and emotional regulation. This therapeutic program was developed specifically for children with disabilities to provide them with a fun and interactive way to develop social skills, participate in the activities that typical kids take for granted, and work on their IEP goals. We want to help your child have a better summer!

Led by Achievement Centers for Children Speech Language Pathologists, this camp will include fun group activities for K-2nd graders with a focus on language, literacy, and social skills.

Our summer camps provide a fun, engaging way for children to develop essential skills through movement, play, and sensory experiences. Below are our camp offerings:

Power Play: Coordination in Motion (June 9 – 12). A dynamic camp to enhance motor skills, balance, and coordination through interactive activities.

Visual Beats: Auditory-Visual Integration Camp (June 16 – 19). Strengthen coordination and focus using rhythm, movement, and multisensory activities.

Handy Heroes: Strengthening Skills Through Play (June 23 – 26). Build hand strength and fine motor skills with exciting, hands-on activities.

Sensory Safari: A Journey of Movement & Exploration (June 30 – July 3). Engage all the senses to improve coordination, body awareness, and sensory processing.

The Gathering Place Summer Camp pairs children with animals at partnered sites and offers a unique therapeutic and fun-filled week. Campers will build relationships with other children impacted by cancer. Our camp is run by the staff of the Children and Family Team at The Gathering Place in order to create a unique experience and space of community, learning, and camp spirit.

Participation Note: Participants must have or have a family member who has been diagnosed with cancer.

Work on emotional regulation, sensory integration, communication, and exploration in this hands-on group led by our favorite SLPs and OTs. Get the best of both worlds in one amazing group!

A handwriting development group for children who struggle with writing. Led by pediatric Occupational Therapists, our sessions focus on proper pencil grip, letter formation, and fine motor development in an engaging and supportive environment.
