Cleveland Clinic Children’s Summer Treatment Program for children with ADHD provides families with individually designed treatment plans that address their child’s behavioral, emotional and learning difficulties. The overall goal of our seven-week daytime treatment program is to help children and their families manage ADHD symptoms throughout the year.

I offer one on one, tailored lesson plans for students with varying degrees of dyslexia and reading and literacy challenges. I also work with gifted students who want to continue to develop their gifts during the summer months. All programs of study are based on the individual child’s interests, needs and abilities. Sensational Extended School Year (ESY) Camp combines extended school year learning with camp activities in an outdoor environment. It creates an experience that allows students to continue working on their IEP goals while still enjoying their summer break as they take part in recreational activities that allow their bodies to be as active as their minds.

Sensational ESY welcomes all students who have extended school year indicated in their IEP. Registration must be completed by each student’s school district.

Campers enjoy swimming, visiting our horse barn, playing gaga ball, doing crafts, and everything else our Cheerful Day campers experience. During learning time, they will benefit from a dedicated cabin classroom set up for maximum engagement and learning success. Sensational ESY Intervention Specialists track each child’s progress toward their IEP goals and ensure students get the individualized attention they need. Sensational ESY also employs occupational therapists and speech language pathologists to round out the team and offer everything your student needs in a classroom setting.

A fun, play-based camp focused on building fine motor strength and coordination through engaging, hands-on activities that support handwriting and everyday skills. Children will explore crafts, games, and sensory play designed to improve grip strength, dexterity, and control, all in a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes confidence and independence.

Lawrence School’s Orton-Gillingham based instructional approach looks a lot like play. Peek into our classrooms and you’ll see students writing in shaving cream, sculpting sight words with modeling clay, bouncing balls as they skip count, and, most importantly, smiling and laughing! But don’t be fooled by all the fun—these engaging multisensory activities lead to serious gains in literacy and mathematics. This summer, we invite your child to leap ahead with Lions Leap!

Our kindergarten readiness program provides an opportunity for rising kindergarteners to practice the skills needed to successfully navigate this important transition. Children will enjoy phonological awareness activities, language-enriched book time, crafts, letter and number recognition activities, working on listening and following directions in a classroom context, and social skills practice. The small group design and high staff/child ratio allows for ample support as children participate in activities.

Time2Thrive is designed by an Intervention Specialist and Occupational Therapist to provide engaging activities that help children practice important skills, build confidence, and continue learning throughout the summer.

Our program welcomes families with children with Down syndrome as well as other disabilities. We are open to all.

This camp is for children ages 5 to 7 who will enter kindergarten in the fall. Sessions will emphasize core strength, body awareness, right/left awareness and learn to write upper case letters and introduction to lower case letters and simple words with effective pencil grasp, praxis, sizing, and spacing through a variety of fun games and sensory experiences.

Write Start is a fun, skill-building group designed for students finishing kindergarten through second grade who are ready to strengthen their handwriting skills with confidence. Led by pediatric occupational therapists, this program focuses on developing the foundational skills needed for neat, efficient, and fluent writing. Through engaging, hands-on activities, children will work on letter formation, spacing, sizing, and alignment, while also building fine motor strength, pencil grasp, and visual-motor coordination. Each session blends structured practice with play-based learning to keep kids motivated and successful. Write Start helps children feel more confident in their writing abilities, setting them up for success in the classroom and beyond.
