During our kindergarten readiness and retention camp, your child will sing about letters, dance like a shape, play colorful instruments, and even make some brand new friends! Each camp will offer your child opportunities that will increase their confidence, build social skills, and most importantly, enhance those academic skills to get them ready to succeed in this upcoming school year!

Designed to enhance communication for children ages 3-5. Work on social skills, articulation, and general communication. Focus areas centered around specific goal areas identified in a 1:1 screening prior to the camp.

The Adapted Horseback Riding Program offers recreation-based mounted riding lessons with an emphasis on proper riding position and reining skills. Riders ages 4 and up are taught horsemanship and riding skills in an environment that’s tailored to their specific needs, goals, and learning styles.

Camp I.D.E.A.S. provides an affordable opportunity for children with disabilities to participate in traditional summer activities in a safe environment with trained, caring, mentors.

Cleveland Sight Center (CSC) Preschool hosts a half-day summer program for preschool-age children with a visual impairment as a primary or secondary condition. All activities address pre-academics, socialization, communication, and Expanded Core Curriculum skills. Therapies are delivered through play and stimulate the development of compensatory skills, such as pre-Braille, pre-mobility, and daily living skills. For children with multiple disabilities, we utilize the Active Learning philosophy using specifically designed equipment and instruction practices. Field trips, music therapy, and other attractions will be included. The program provides snacks and drinks, and parents provide lunch. The program can serve as ESY; NEON funding is available for eligible families. Financial Assistance is made available if income-eligible and no other funding sources are obtainable.

Children will dive deep into their imaginations as they bring dramatic roles to life during this popular TimberNook program. This program is sure to inspire and create lasting memories for years to come.

This camp is for children ages 4 to 6 who will not enter kindergarten in the fall. Sessions will emphasize fine motor skills needed for pre-writing, grasp, introduction to upper case letters, writing name, attention to task, turn taking, and two hand use through a variety of sensory experiences and games.

This unique outdoor camp occurs for three weeks in June. Kids age 3-15 develop social skills in a nature-based setting in the Cleveland Metroparks beautiful North Chagrin Reservation. This camp offers children an opportunity to experience a restorative natural environment while engaging in intensive exploration, games and outdoor play with peers. Campers will participate in a daily social skills lesson, explore the metroparks, and learn about nature with our staff of speech-language pathologists, graduate students, and other talented and trained staff. Spaces are limited and campers must meet certain developmental milestones in order to be eligible for registration.

Our Summer ESY Preschool program offers continued educational and therapeutic support for young children with developmental delays, autism, or other disabilities. This structured program helps maintain and strengthen essential communication, social, and daily living skills using individualized, evidence-based ABA strategies.

Designed for children entering preschool in the fall or those already receiving early intervention or school-year preschool services, our program fills the summer gap with engaging activities and hands-on learning. Through personalized support, we foster growth while creating fun summer memories. By ensuring consistency in learning, we help children transition smoothly into the next school year.

A developmentally appropriate group experience for preschoolers focusing on expanding fine and gross motor development, practicing transitioning from one activity to another, engaging in play with peers and practice social skills, enjoying an interactive story time, developing receptive and expressive communication and building cognitive learning.

6-week series with a different theme each week, to begin exploring nature and having fun outside! This program is inclusive, and children of all abilities are welcome! This program will be held mostly outdoors and will be held rain or shine, so be prepared to dress for any weather! Although these groups are not therapy sessions, the facilitator is a pediatric occupational therapist with 10 years of experience as a school-based therapist and 19 years of experience working with children and adults of all abilities.

Camp A.B.C.™, Camp Always Be Communicating, is a social developmental play skills group for children ages 3 to 6. The camp is a fusion of social development ideologies and therapeutic approaches with play-based activities, which help children develop better social relationships.

Our kindergarten readiness program provides an opportunity for rising kindergarteners to practice the skills needed to successfully navigate this important transition. Children will enjoy phonological awareness activities, language-enriched book time, crafts, letter and number recognition activities, working on listening and following directions in a classroom context, and social skills practice. The small group design and high staff/child ratio allows for ample support as children participate in activities.

Sensory art play is when a child engages with art that involves one or more of the five senses. In this camp, encourage creativity through play, sometimes messy play. Join us as we explore a different sense each day through art.

Our unique camp features the experience of two professionals – music therapist and speech therapist. This summer program is perfect for emerging communicators, using pictures, devices and verbal approximations in a non-threatening environment filled with music. Your child will sing, dance and play instruments while working on communication skills of requesting items, choosing from 2-3 items and participating in a musical ensemble.

During our summer program, students will have access to a structured and predictable schedule, they will have access to curriculum, focus on maintaining skills and work on progress of their IEP goals. Students will work to be independent in navigation of their daily routines and focus on gaining self help skills for use across environments.

We offer a variety of Social Skills Groups to help promote increased opportunities for communication and socialization with peers. Groups enable students age 3 to 22 to have an opportunity to generalize their goals in a fun and natural way.

Four inclusive, week-long theater camps with performances on the final day. Themes for 2025 include Musical Theatre Camp, Mystery Camp, Apocalypse Camp and Costume Camp.
