Category Filters

This site uses three category filters to help you limit options quickly. They are:

Age Range

Age range groups programs by common age groups used by providers. They include:

Preschool (Ages 0-5): Young children, including five-year-olds who will not be entering kindergarten in the fall.

Early Elementary (Grades K-3): Children who will be entering kindergarten through third grade in the fall (ages 5-8).

Elementary (Grades 4-6): Children who will be entering grades 4-6 in the fall (ages 9-12).

Older Youth (Grades 7+): Children who will be entering grades 7 and higher in the fall.

Region

Region groups programs based on where the program takes place. Current regions include:

Cuyahoga – East: Suburbs that lie east of I-77

Cuyahoga – West: suburbs that are west of I-71 and north of I-480

Cuyahoga – Central/South: Includes downtown, between I-71 and I-77, and south of I-480

Program Time

Program time helps families to understand what they can expect for a time commitment. There are three categories in this group:

Part-Time: Programs whose duration lasts between 30 minutes and 3 hours per session

Full-Time: Programs whose duration is 4 or more hours per session.

Overnight: Programs that include one or more overnight stays

Content Verification

Providers work with many different constraints when developing their summer programming schedules. To balance families’ need for information and program information availability, we use two verification statuses:

Verified: CFK staff has received updated information from the provider for the current program year. Information may still be incomplete or subject to change, but the provider is very likely to offer summer programming.

Not Verified: CFK staff has not received updated information for the current program year. Information displayed is from the previous program year and families should contact the provider directly to inquire about the availability of summer programming.
